Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; a series of widely-spaced, vertical craquelures extending from the upper third of the composition, including one craquelure extending vertically in the center, through the majority of the painting; a few additional areas of minor craquelures in scattered areas, particularly in the upper right and left corners; thin lines of possible inpainting in the upper and lower right corners, and along the lower left edge. Under UV light: the aforementioned lines fluoresce; three small dots of inpainting in the upper center, within the water; two small dots of inpainting in the lower center.
