Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; a network of widely spaced craquelures throughout; under a highly reflective varnish. Under UV light: small spots of inpainting along the upper edge; lines of inpainting through the boy's face and figure to address craquelures; additional thin lines of inpainting in scattered areas of the background.
