Canvas is unlined. Minor surface dirt and dust; significant craquelures throughout; small flecks of paint loss scattered along extreme left edge; a faint linear surface scuff at lower center, measuring 4 inches vertically; two repaired tears in lower left quadrant with associated patching verso. Under UV: significant inpainting scattered throughout, particularly notable through the lower half, on the woman's chest, in and around the man's head, on the table and tea urn at upper right, and on the aforementioned repaired tears.
