The present lot is one of five stage and costume designs that Stuart Davis made for his friend, Ralph deGolier's play, The Puritans.
Framed: 25 1/2 x 32 1/2 x 1 in.
The card/paperboard has been mounted to a backing board and is in overall good condition. Some moderate toning at extreme left, right and bottom edges, with a small 1/4-inch loss to paper lower right. Scattered, surface-level white accretions throughout, although predominantly in margins. Unevenness to paper at lower left that does not extend into image. Additional images available upon request.
