Provenance: Stanley William Sykes (1894-1961), British crime writer and anaesthetist (bookplate in The Iliad).
LIMITED EDITIONS, number 1,071 of 1,450 copies of The Iliad and number 1,008 of 1,300 copies of The Odyssey. The Nonesuch Press was founded in 1922 by Francis Meynall, his wife Vera Mendel, and their friend David Garnett.
