Original brown wrappers, uncut (discreetly rebacked); folding chemise and slipcase. Provenance: ownership signature dated 1818 on front free endpaper; H.R. Weetman (penciled signature on title-page).
FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, with Roger's "Jacqueline" and Campbell's "Selected Beauties" listed second and third on the second page of advertisements ([E4v]). At the request of his friend D. Kinnaird, Byron wrote Hebrew Melodies, which was originally accompanied by music composed by Isaac Nathan. Randolph and Wise do not record the additional 4 pages of advertisements for Murray's works, printed by J.F. Dove. Randolph, p.50; Wise Byron I, pp.103-104.
