FIRST EDITION. SIGNED BY BURNETT. Iron Man was published the year after Burnett's breakthrough novel, Little Caesar. Following its success Burnett moved from Chicago to Hollywood, where he spent the next thirty-nine years writing screenplays and novels. It was adapted into a 1931 motion picture starring Lew Ayres and directed by Tod Browning and again in 1951, the latter of which featured an early appearance by Rock Hudson.
