The group contains approx. 12 stereoviews capturing the ruins of the Great Chicago Fire credited to the noted 19th century photographer George Barnard, who was once employed by Lovejoy & Foster. Each view by Barnard includes an applied paper label on verso with series title, image title, and photographer's imprint.
