Note:
Liberty Browne, with both a patriotic first name and birthday of July 4, 1776, first partnered with John Houlton in Baltimore, and later worked independently in Philadelphia, circa 1800, and eventually partnering with William Seal for a short time (1810-1811, but possibly until 1813). He also produced gold hilts for swords for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania during the War of 1812. Works by him are scarce.
great condition, both pieces sit flat, the handles remain tight and secure, the surfaces with some very minor occasional scratches or tiny dings commensurate with age and honest use, but minimal and both pieces present well; the teapot lid closes smoothly, the covered sugar dish lid shuts snugly, the cast details remain crisp and distinct overall
