Presents well. Combines several 18th century elements with replaced elements and additions as is typical of Mizner’s style. There is extensive evidence of previous insect damage that was treated by the consignor many years ago and appears no longer active, however there is residue to the interior. There are numerous scattered holes to the wood case, and several areas of loss primarily to the moldings and feet. Overall the cabinet may benefit from re-stabilization but is structurally holding; there are several areas of joint separation, evidence of prior restoration, re-gilding, re-finishing, etc. The metal work and hinges are tarnished as is consistent with metal that has been exposed to Palm Beach atmospheric conditions for long periods of time.
