Appearing in overall sturdy, attractive, and ready to place condition. The bookcase with intact glass panes on either side and cabinet door. Some cracking in the marquetry and chips to the corners. The interior is later lined with red velvet-like fabric. There is a keyhole in the cabinet door, but there is no lock. The chest with vertical age splits to the sides of the case. The top is sun faded along the edges, has age splits, scuffs and scratches, a veneer loss to the proper right edge, and two drilled holes to attach a previously associated upper case, not the current bookcase. The brasses are replacements. On casters. Two keys are present; one is for the chest drawers, but the lock of the second drawer no longer engages. The other key does not correspond to any locks.
