Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined; the canvas verso has been painted, which has caused moderate distortion through the surface; two patch repairs on the canvas verso, with one in the lower left corner approximately 18 inches in length to address a complicated tear, and the other patch in the center, approximately 2 x 2 inches, with both areas of repair accompanied by inpainting under normal viewing conditions. Under UV light: the aforementioned areas of inpainting fluoresce; additional inpainting that may be present is difficult to discern due to the inherent fluorescence of the pigments used.
