Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is not lined; network of craquelures throughout the surface; a large area of discoloration and difference in paint tonality in the upper left corner, indicating older inpainting; pinpoint to small dots of white paint droplets throughout the surface; minor frame abrasions along all edges; additional areas of uneven toning to varnish visible in areas of the sky; under a highly reflective varnish. Under UV light: the aforementioned area in the upper left corner fluoresces; two small spots of inpainting along the right side of the church tower; the upper right corner fluoresces along the edge, although this may be due to old varnish; spots of dirt and grime fluoresce but do not appear to be inpainting.
