Including: ninth plate ruby ambrotype, seated portrait of an unidentified trooper, possibly from the 1st Cavalry as indicated by the "1" visible on his cap above the crossed sabers insignia. Housed in a full thermoplastic Union case with scroll design (case with wear to surface, edges and corners). -- Sixth plate tintype, standing portrait of a possible member of the 3rd New Jersey Cavalry (as per consignor) posed with sword. Housed in half case (tarnish to edges). -- 8 1/2 x 7 3/8 in. tintype enlargement featuring a portrait of a possible member of the 3rd New Jersey Cavalry, known as the "Butterflies," standing before a painted backdrop depicting a camp scene (image soft in focus, some edge wear to plate). -- 3 1/4 x 2 1/2 in. tintype of a man wearing civilian clothing with a GAR badge pinned to his jacket, uncased. -- 3 1/2 x 2 3/8 in. tintype of two men in uniform, one possibly with a "71" on his cap, with various flags draped against the wall behind them, uncased. Ca last quarter 19th century (some light surface wear to plate).
