In full: "I want you to know before my public announcement that I have decided to seek the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Running in harmony with Senator McCarthy. I shall campaign not in opposition to any person but in support of new policies of hope and reconciliation at home. In Vietnam and around the world. Fully aware of the deep divisions already present in our party. I earnestly seek your thoughtful consideration. Counsel and support." Lightly creased.
Lester Hyman (1931-2025) was an American attorney, and longtime influential member of the Democratic Party, in addition to being a close family friend of the Kennedys.
