The photographs range in size from 3 x 3 in. to 13 1/2 x 10 in. Images in varying conditions though most feature some toning or fading, and spotting, with wear to mount edges and corners. Some with chipping and loss to mount edges and corners. Highlights include:

4 3/4 x 8 1/4 in. photograph on cardstock mount depicting Julius Ludovici's darkroom (as per modern penciled notation on mount verso). Uncredited (toning and some fading to print). A man, possibly Ludovici, is shown near a table with various chemicals. Ludovici was a German-born photographer and painter. He served with the Union army during the Civil War and maintained a studio in New York City after the war. He also spent some time in California. -- 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 in. photograph on cardstock mount with modern penciled notations on verso indicating that the subject is the grandson of Philadelphia photographer and painter, Frederick DeBourg Richards. Uncredited (some fading to print). -- Cabinet card of four men posed with a camera.
