Powers was one of the most prominent sculptors of the mid-19th century who was one of the first American artists to gain an international reputation. -- 2 CDVs of female American sculptor Lavinia Ellen "Vinnie" Ream Hoxie, one credited to Mathew Brady, Washington, DC, the other copyrighted by Ream. Her most famous work is the statue of Abraham Lincoln in the US Capitol rotunda. -- CDV of Civil War-era artist Theodore Davis, credited to Frank Rowell, Boston, MA. -- Cabinet card of James David Smillie, etcher and engraver, credited to Sarony, New York. -- 14 CDVs and a cabinet photograph featuring images of various sculptures as well as paintings, engravings, and lithographs, some identified on recto or verso, including the Goddess of Liberty with verso imprint of M.P.
