The armoire is in good condition overall with light wear consistent with age and gentle use. The case could benefit from a gentle polishing. There are just a few light, unobtrusive scuffs to the case in various areas. The mounts and boulle are in overall good condition. The only areas where the mounts are bent/detached from the case are at the upper left cornice, upper right frieze, and the lower left leg (all unobtrusive and appears simple to restore). The acanthus-form mount at the lower left corner is split. There are nicks and losses to the front feet and old evidence of damage from post-hole beetles (not currently active). The front right foot has been damaged and repaired at some point in the past, and there is a loss to its bronze mount (see images). The door is secure on the hinges but could use some attention - it is a little bit difficult to close. The interior is fitted with three adjustable shelves. There is typical wear around each escutcheon, from gentle use.
