A very good period bed, with beautifully painted cornice and elegant posts. Unusually wide for a period bed.
Fits a mattress sized: 77 x 68 inches.
In overall good, stable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. The painting refreshed but with some scattered flaking and age, does not detract from overall aesthetic unless viewed very closely. The top of fabric canopy with a stain to one side. Some of the brass hardware covers on posts are bent and do not sit flush to post. One of the posts with two panels detached from foot, one panel present, one missing.
