The canvas is separating from the stretcher in the lower left quadrant and would benefit from being re-stretched or lined. There is paint loss in this area. There is a 2-inch tear in the canvas above the subject's head. There is a stretcher impression visible on all four sides. An even network of craquelure throughout. Painting is varnished with a glossy surface. Dusty; would benefit from cleaning. In the lower right quadrant there is cracking in the paint and paint loss. Examination under UV light does not reveal any additional restoration. Additional images are available upon request.
