The marks have been erased by a previous owner of the boxes due to concerns about circulating objects with spurious Russian marks. They were purchased from a collection with numerous other similar objects known to be finely made reproductions (not Russian; probably made in New York in the 1990s) in gold and enamel / gemstones. Appearing in overall good, stable, and attractive condition. The interior not solid gold. Rim and applied swag decoration electro-test for 14-karat gold. The stand is silver. The picture depicts Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. Gross weight: 214.9 g. Additional images available upon request.
