Fine and stable condition. Slightly uneven, flat patina. No damage or losses observed. Likely salvaged from a larger figural group, or a clock, or some other decorative object. Based on the way the figure is posing, he likely had his arms wrapped around another figure (like Psyche) or a large mantel clock. There is a flat area at his hip where the figure was attached to whatever he was holding onto, form original casting.
The bronze is secured to its marble base, so the underside of the bronze itself cannot be viewed.
Weight is approximately 50 pounds.
