1) Example with Francis I having a fairly even, brown patina throughout with some areas of rubbing to raised parts of portrait. Small spot of verdigris on top near rim and some pitting to edge within the letters 'FRANCISCVS'. Medallion comes with a Spink & Son plastic flip (diameter 87 mm).
2) Example showing coronation of Henry III with fairly even brown patina throughout. The edge is uneven particularly at top but does not show evidence of being mounted for hanging (diameter 135 mm).
3) plaquette with French king with a lighter brown finish and exhibiting signs of being cleaned in it's past, but not recently (153 x 93mm).
4) Example with Henry IV with a cleaned surface. Some older patina present in recessed parts of figure's face and clothing. Mounted with an eyelet on reverse (diameter 101mm).
5) Example with Catherine de Medici with a fairly even brown patina with some rubbing to raised elements of portrait. The medal is bent at sides. Additional images available upon request.
