Lot Note:
The triptych features distinct elements representing facets of Rauschenberg's life and work. In X-Ray, a nearly life-sized X-ray of the artist overlays Rothenberg's enlarged horoscope. Written Record of Major Events presents an autobiographical text arranged in an oval, photographed through a distortion lens, with a childhood photo of Rauschenberg and his family in Texas at its center. Dance captures a dynamic moment of the artist skating with a parachute-like object on his back during a performance, alongside a view of New York from his studio.

Some softening to corners and one or two bumps along extreme edges are apparent. Two diagonal creases at bottom right corner. Print has been rolled and paper is slightly undulating as a result. See specialist photos.

Some softening to corners apparent. A few light handling creases along top right extreme edges and one or two spots of scattered surface soiling apparent throughout. Very small crease at bottom right corner. There is also a very small tear (approx 1/4 inch long) along top edge, near center. Print has been rolled and paper is slightly undulating as a result.
