The bureau cabinet is lovely in appearance, sturdy, and finely detailed. It could be placed in its current condition. There appears to be an old repair to the pediment, and it is missing a cap on the proper right side and a small portion of the molding on the proper left side. The proper right side of the bookcase has losses to the lower corners of the side panels. The banded veneer on the door panel has a couple of small losses, and is lifting near the latch. The proper left door has a small loss near the lower hinge that is not visible from the exterior. The proper right corner of the bureau has a small loss, and the proper left corner appears to have an old repair. There is wear to the drawer fronts and apron. Some of the hardware has been replaced over time. Additional images available upon request.
