(Daguerreotype plate with significant tarnish, clouding, spotting, and other imperfections, ambrotype with minor wear and imperfections.) Daguerreotype housed in a double-door pressed paper case (separation to bottom edge, wear and some loss throughout). Ambrotype housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (split at spine, wear throughout). -- Ninth plate ambrotype portrait of a young girl with curled locks and a necklace hand-tinted in red. She holds a cluster of flowers that have also been lightly hand-tinted pink and green. (Some chemical deterioration/discoloring to image, though subject remains largely vibrant and clear.)
