Note:
Jane Haskell Brimblecombe (1800-1871) was the daughter of Jane Haskell (1770-1813) and Nathaniel Brimblecombe (1773-1829) of Marblehead, Massachusetts. She married Samuel Giles (1790-1839) in 1819.
Some fading to silk threads and ground throughout, some browning to vertical right edge of ground under frame. Edges of needlework tacked to stretcher.- Some breaks and fraying to extreme top and bottom sampler edges where ground is pulled over stretcher. Minor area of loss to upper left corner at inner border and to left side under second flower of outer border. . Backed with a glazed cotton that was originally glued and tacked to stretcher. Some residue of glue (?) on upper right edge corner of ground.
