New York, New York, Circa 1820

with canted rectangular top, on four carved and turned supports, connected by lower stretcher, the supports and stretcher inlaid and mounted with brass, including star motif, raised on four paw-form feet with casters, the interior of top with storage compartment lined with original wallpaper.

Height 31 x width 36 1/2 x depth 18 1/2 inches.

Note:

A very similar card table, attributed to the Workshop of Duncan Phyfe, was sold at Carlsen Gallery, Freehold, New York on June 22, 2025 as lot 97, realizing $16,000 hammer price. While both card tables share certain design features, the present table includes additional embellishments in the form of brass mounts and inlays.
