Height 7 x diameter 4 1/4 inches.

Provenance:

Each engraved with the initials for John Kearsley Mitchell (1871-1949),

Thence by descent to his daughter Frances Stotesbury Mitchell, who married William R. Wister, Jr.,

Thence by descent.

Note:

John K. Mitchell was married to Frances Stotesbury, and is thought to have murdered his showgirl mistress, Anna Keenan, in New York in 1923.
