stable and sturdy; retaining a nice rich color; the top is two board, and exhibiting some typical signs of wear commensurate with age, including some scattered scratches, dark stains, and some areas of surface finish loss or alligatoring to varnish, and some scuffing along edge; the drawers glide easily, and retain locks, the drawer runners to undersides have been replaced; a couple patches to drawer face corners, and with some minor loss and occasional scuffing to cockbeading; brasses are replaced, with evidence of former screw holes to interior of drawers; feet appear to be original, retaining the old blocking; both left-facing foot facings, and back right-facing foot facing with repaired breaks and/or replaced segments; right-facing side panel, base molding, and back right-facing foot with patches; the back left-facing side panel with repaired break along back edge; the feet, base molding, and bottom-most drawer with some scuffing and abrasions commensurate with age and use
