One cabinet card by C. M. Bell, Washington, DC, and 2 uncredited CDVs, of which one is signed on verso by Crane. -- 2 CDV portraits of Colonel George V. RUTHERFORD, who witnessed the assassination, stood guard at the Peterson house, and claimed to put coins on the eyes of the President after he died. Both by Alexander Gardner, Washington, DC, of which one is signed by Rutherford to his sister. -- CDV seated portrait of Lincoln's minister, Phineas GURLEY, who was called to the President's bedside as he died and said a prayer after his death. Gardner, Washington, DC. -- 2 nearly identical CDV vignetted portraits of Surgeon General Joseph K. BARNES, who attended Lincoln on his deathbed and supervised the autopsy on the President's body. Both uncredited, one signed by Barnes. -- And 3 other CDVs portraying Generals Richard OGLESBY, Montgomery MEIGS, and Christopher AUGUR. -- Together, 13 portraits.
