Provenance:
Private Collection, Malibu, California; Andrew Jones Auctions, Los Angeles, Design for the Home and Garden, March 3, 2019, Lot 143.
Overall stable and ready to place condition. Cabinet is comprised of several sections which can be broken down for shipment or moving. Scattered areas of fill to the veneer. Gilt mounts with oxidation and rubbing at the high points. The proper left central drawer of the lower stage is missing its escutcheon. The proper right lower cabinet with a detached but retained gilt mount. Scattered scuffs and scrapes; most notable on the proper left side of the case. There are no shelves for the upper cabinet. The upper cabinets are lined but the lining is pulling, fraying, and in need of repair. Horizontal age splits to the bottom of the proper right side. There is one key which works in all of the locks. Some of the doors are harder to close because of shrinkage and expansion to the wood. Additional images are available upon request.

Condition reports prepared by Freeman's staff are provided as a convenience and may be requested from the Department prior to bidding.
The absence of a posted condition report on the Freeman's website or in our catalogues should not be interpreted as commentary on an item's condition. Prospective buyers are responsible for inspecting a lot or sending their agent or conservator to inspect the lot on their behalf, and for ensuring that they have requested, received and understood any condition report provided by Freeman's.
