Partially-printed document, accomplished in manuscript pencil in a secretarial hand, and signed in pencil by Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov (future Russian Emperor Nicholas II), as Adjutant Colonel, being a bill for the Officer's Club of the Preobrazhensky Life-Guards Regiment. In mat with a portrait of Nicholas II, and unexamined out of frame, 13 x 16 in. (330 x 406 mm).
A scarce document, signed by Tsar Nicholas II, a year before his ascension to the throne to become the last Emperor of Russia. Here, Nicholas signs a bill for meals served to the Officer's Club of the Preobrazhensky Life-Guards Regiment over four days in November, 1893 (13th, 15th, 19th, and 20th). The receipt lists various types of fare ordered, including hors d'oeuvres, vodka, beefsteak , oysters, tea, and various meals and portions, alongside their cost.
