Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece, engraved vignette title-page, and 41 engraved plates by Robert Seymour and Hablot Knight Browne ("Phiz"). Full blue levant, decorated in gilt with a circular portrait of Dickens on front board and his facsimile signature on rear board, spine slightly faded; all edges gilt; gilt dentelles; marbled endpapers; by Bayntun (Riviere); plates variously toned; top corner of final text leaf repaired; in blue cloth slip case.
