The ref. 1526 is one of the most historically important wristwatches ever produced, as it was the first perpetual calendar wristwatch manufactured in series by any brand. Introduced in 1941 and produced until 1952 in fewer than 210 examples, the ref. 1526 helped establish Patek Philippe’s leadership in complicated wristwatch design.
Housed in a timeless 34 mm Calatrava-style case, the ref. 1526 combines elegance and innovation. Its silvered dial displays day and month in twin apertures beneath 12 o’clock, a blued steel hand indicates the date around the subsidiary track, and subsidiary seconds indicated by a gold hand. The watch is powered by the manual-winding caliber 12”’-120 Q, based on a Victorin Piguet ébauche finished to the highest standards.
The yellow gold ref. 1526 stands as a landmark in horology, embodying both understated design and groundbreaking technical mastery.

Overall Condition: Dial is excellent and has been restored, most likely by Patek Philippe. Movement is in good condition and recently serviced, light scratches, calendar and moonphase functions working. Case has been restored/lightly polished, most likely by Patek Philippe.
