overall in nice condition, retaining much of the faux grained decoration, with some areas of mild crackling to paint indicative of age, the surface possibly appears to have been waxed at some point in the past; there are a few minor splits to the applied moldings on lid, and some of the edges have some wear / surface loss commensurate with age and use; missing its lock, but retains the original hinges- one hinge missing a screw; opens and closes cleanly; the underside with applied felt
