Trompe l’oeil artist Robert Jackson had a long and successful career as a muralist, specializing in classical scenes. He collaborated over the years with celebrated interior designers such as Bunny Williams, Mario Buatta and Mark Hampton, as well as on historic homes such as Horace Walpole’s home, Strawberry Hill, and the 1820 Classical Revival home, Edgewater. Jackson’s work was so thoughtful designed and executed that it further graced the walls and ceilings of several period rooms in the American Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
