Catalogue Note:
'Woaw' is a line of candelabra inspired lighting re-imagined using children’s toys and playful color blocking. Made from steel and ceramic shades, the collection explores different arrangements of its shades.
Born and raised in the United States, Nader Gammas has Syrian roots and holds a B.Sc. in Architecture from the University of Jordan and an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design in New York. Gammas debuted his first lighting collection at Art Dubai in March 2017.
Nader Gammas didn’t always know he wanted to work with light, but his fascination with form and functionality from a young age eventually led him on that trajectory: “If you strip down architecture and interiors, you are left with the structure and lighting. Lighting influences how people feel, whether it’s comfort, excitement, relaxation, and beyond.”
