generally with some sunfading to surface; the top exhibiting old dark scuffs, scratches, and water rings commensurate with age, a age crack to upper back left-facing edge; side panels also exhibiting some old darkened scuffs, scratches, or stain drip marks, the sides also with some expected age cracks, the seam separations have been filled; the slant front with some mild puckering and splitting to veneer- but stable, a patch to lip to upper left-facing corner of slant front; the inside hinge edge of desk and slant front both with patched / replaced wood segments- indicative of repair to hinge over time; with some minor, honest wear to embossed leather writing surface, the surface probably later; the interior gallery presents very well, with nice inlay and detail, the prospect door slightly bowed outward; some scattered occasional patches to drawer face lips; brasses are replaced; drawers glide easily except for bottom drawer, which gets slightly caught, and the interiors lightly stained; the feet with some old darkened scuffs and scrapes commensurate with age and use; the back feet and front right-facing foot with later / replaced support blocks; the back left-facing foot face probably a replacement, with some repaired breaks; all the feet appear to have been tightened; the backboards with expected age cracks, repairs, and with some old occasional worm holes; top of left-facing stile is patched, and front upper edge of left-facing side panel has been pinned where there were age cracks / splits; the front left-facing foot face with patch; bottom-most drawer missing lock, and patched over upper edge; accompanied by a key
