Appearing in fair and ready to hang condition. The canvas is somewhat lax on the stretcher. Areas of flaking and loss to the paint around the edges, most notably an approximate four inch area of flaked loss along the lower left edge, likely from past contact with the frame. Examination under UV light reveals areas of in-painting to the upper and lower right corners of the painting, an area to the right of the cow in the foreground, and in the border of the upper left corner. Impressions in the canvas visible in the lower right quadrant and a few imperfections in the paint surface in this area. There is no apparent signature visible; painting not examined out of frame. There is one section of frame detached but present.
