The desk is sturdy overall. The tooled leather top with scuffs, scrapes, dark marks, and peeling and torn sections; would benefit from replacement prior to use. Some of the gilt bronze trim is lifting and loose. Rubbed wear to the high points of the gilt mounts consistent with age. Scuffs and scrapes to the ebonized legs consistent with age and use. The table has three drawers on either side; there is no key. The central drawer on one side of the desk sticks somewhat. The drawers each have a dowel which keeps the drawers from coming all the way out. Additional images are available upon request.
