Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is unlined; faint stretcher bar line along the upper edge; slightly buckling to the canvas in the upper corners; minor wear along edges from frame contact; one diagonal, shallow scratch in the lower right corner, extending through the signature; instances of hairline craquelures in scattered areas, only visible under strong, raking light. Under UV light: a few strokes of inpainting in the faces of three men (not within the man wearing a yellow jacket); very minor spots of inpainting scattered throughout the surface, with a few larger spots within the music stand in the lower left corner.
