Both appearing in overall good, stable, and ready to place condition. Having a polished finish. The brasses are old replacements and there are filled holes from previous hardware. Worming consistent with age. Scattered areas of fill to the veneer on both tops. One commode with a missing section of veneer on the front of the lowest drawer. This drawer also with a patch to the veneer and overpainting on the proper left top corner. Scattered traces of old pigment and some touched up areas of the marquetry on drawer fronts. The proper right front leg and side with wear to the veneer possibly from contact with humidity. Missing section of veneer on the proper right back corner and a patch. The marquetry escutcheon with an area of fill. The second commode with lifting veneer on drawer fronts and missing veneer on proper right front edge. There is one key which fits the locks but the locks do not engage. Additional images are available upon request.
