Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; network of craquelures throughout; frame abrasions along all extreme edge, with associated instances of paint loss; the surface is irregular along the right half, presenting as a rippled texture along extreme edge, as well as small scattered dimples and raised bumps, and a slight indentation to lower right corner. Under UV light: two large areas of inpainting to the left of the woman, within the background, as well as a large area of inpainting to the right jacket lapel, with the largest area measuring approximately 1 3/4 inches in length; additional small spots of inpainting to the woman’s face and in the curtain in the upper right corner.
