Significant deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is unlined and somewhat slack; frame abrasions along all edges; network of craquelures throughout; pinpoint paint losses scattered throughout; localized pinpoint dark stains in the center, within the sky; a line of inpainting extending along the left side of the cliff, visible under normal viewing conditions. Under UV light: the aforementioned line of inpainting fluoresces; several possible areas of inpainting in the lower right corner and in a wave in the lower center, though this fluorescence may be inherent to the pigments used.
