Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is relined; instances of inpainting visible in scattered areas throughout the sky, but only visible upon close examination; localized craquelures in the barrel in the lower left corner and small skiff in the lower center; a localized area of small paint losses in the lower right corner. Under UV light: the aforementioned inpainting throughout the sky fluoresces; a few small areas of inpainting scattered through the water and barrel in the lower left corner; inpainting around and to the sails of the ship in the lower left corner; possible inpainting to the ship sails in the center and center right.
