Minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is relined; passages of the canvas have been pressed due to the lining process; network of craquelures throughout, mostly visible only under strong light; small instances of overcleaning scattered throughout; a few minor abrasions in the upper left corner. Under UV light: an approximately 1 x 1 1/2 inch area of inpainting in the center, within the dark object sitting on the well; inpainting and selective varnish cleaning around the woman and girl by the well, as well as to a pigeon in the center left; areas of inpainting throughout the woman in the center and to the feet and dress of the girl; small areas of inpainting to the face and shirt of the man on the right; lines of inpainting to the edges of a central arch and columns on the center left; additional lines and small areas of inpainting in scattered areas throughout.
