Very minor deposits of surface dirt and dust. The canvas is not lined. The painting was recently restored to address a thin, horizontal tear in the upper center, approximately 1 inch in length, within the branches of the tree. The repair can be seen as expert sutures on the verso, with no visible inpainting on the recto. There is a very small area of pigment separation at lower right, in the water reflection of the trees. The rest of the canvas is in good condition. Under UV light: there are scattered areas of inpainting through the canvas addressing craquelure or thinning along the weave of the canvas. These retouches appear in grid form at upper right quadrant and along the lower edge. Fine inpainting along the abovementioned pigment separation at lower right.
