The painting is in overall good condition. There are vertical lines of craquelure throughout. Some soiling is apparent, including a few spots of soiling at center above each of the figures' heads. Another accretion is noted in the right figure's back, at right. There are minor scuff marks, for instance an L-shaped scuff at bottom right. On verso, there is some minor staining to the panel. Under UV light, there appears to be a few spots of inpainting at bottom as well as varnish throughout. Additional images available upon request.
