In overall very good condition. The sheet is hinged to the verso of the mat at upper left and upper right corners via a piece of white linen tape. The sheet is slightly wavy, due to the mounting and the medium of the work. The edges of the sheet are relatively regular and straight. With minor abrasions (scratching in fact) at bottom left corner, and along the left outer edge: these are part of the artist's working method. We also notice scattered areas left blank, which correspond to the artist's process. With four small pieces of brown tape on the lateral edges at top and bottom, which appear original to the work as they are all painted over. On the reverse, we notice a band of discoloration along the top outer edge of the sheet, which surely corresponds to the old presence of tape. Otherwise clean, and relatively flat save for a minor diagonal crease at center right (which does not show through). Additional images available upon request.
